RETIRING THE OLD WEB MAINTENANCE PLAN
What happens to my old web maintenance plan?

Your old “Monitoring Service” plan has been around since 2009 and a lot of things have changed since then. For that reason, instead of migrating you from the old plan to a new one, it is better for all parties involved to discontinue the old plans and start everyone afresh. All Monitoring Service Plans will retire on May 30th, 2017 at which time you will no longer have a maintenance plan in place until you apply for our new Web Insurance Plans (WIP). Apply for a WIP by clicking the link.

I have a remaining balance due on the old Monitoring Service plan. Can I still sign up for WIP?

If you have an outstanding balance on your old Monitoring Service plan, you do not qualify for a WIPA until the balance is cleared.

Let's Go!

Your decision to obtain web coverage is a very important one, especially if you are a business owner who wears multiple hats while juggling gazillion tasks. Your decision to obtain web coverage means that you care about the online health of your business. And finally, your decision to obtain web coverage means that you understand 3 important elements in establishing an effective web presence;

1. keeping your content fresh on your Web Property means happy searching results for those seeking what you have to offer,
2. regular monitoring of your Web Property will catch malfunctions that could happen and go unnoticed by you yet affecting you poorly in the search engines, and,
3. delegating Webmasters to manage your Web Property is like hiring Landscapers to manage your yard.

This Guide is designed to help you locate important information about our WIP Services (formally known as “Monitoring Services” to give you a better understanding of how it all works.

Note: If you are currently hosting your GriotSites Web Property with us, you will receive an email with a recommendation on which WIP will better suit your needs. The WIP suggestion will be based on your current “Monitoring Service” plan (if applicable) and accumulated knowledge that we have on each Web Property Owner's goal and vision for their online presence. You are not obligated to sign up for WIP. These are web maintenance plans created to provide GriotSites Web Property Owners with an affordable and efficient way to maintain their site properties.

INTRODUCING OUR WEB MAINTENANCE PLANS
What is WIP?

WIP is the name of our new web maintenance plans. It is the acronym for Web Insurance Plans and appears throughout this Web Property and documents concerning correspondence from this division. Learn more WIP lingo by visiting our Web Glossary.

Choosing the right WIP

It is always nice to have someone to update your Web Property for you, and when you find a policy that will cover your Web Property's maintenance needs, running a business online couldn't be easier. Visit our “Choosing the Right Plan” section to view all available WIPs.

Contacting WIPS (Web Insurance Plan Specialist)

Compare Other Web Maintenance Plans

Sometimes seeing is believing! Being a member of WIP has its advantages such as low web maintenance prices, efficient task performance and, oh yeah, did we mention low web maintenance prices? We've gathered together several web maintenance company links for you to view and compare their prices and services with ours. Go ahead, we will wait......

How to apply for a WIPA

Applying for a WIPA is easy and takes less than a minute. Just fill out a form and a WIPS will contact you via email with important information. You can also contact us on the phone to apply.

What if I don't want to sign up for a WIP but need web maintenance tasks performed periodically?

You are not obligated to sign up for a WIPA if you don't think that you will need the coverage. As long as your Web Property was developed by GriotSites, you can still request web maintenance when you need it.

I am not on the WIP, so why am I required to pay a monthly fee for my Web Property?

The monthly fee that you are required to pay is for your hosting services. If you were on the old Monitoring Service plan, you didn't pay this fee separately because it was included in your package. Our new WIPs include the hosting fee, so if you are not a WIP member, you are responsible for this monthly fee. This fee is continuous until you either discontinue hosting with GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs or you pay the hosting fees in full (in advance).

COMMON TERMS AND DESCRIPTIONS
View Glossary

Our new maintenance plan is structured and modeled after an actual home or car insurance plan, and just like in the “reality” insurance world, many acronyms and foreign terms are used when referring to certain products and services. Links are provided throughout this Web Property offering you a quick definition of that particular word or acronym in a popup box. You can also check out our Web Glossary to view a full list of acronyms and definitions. Keep in mind that WIP is a new service so our list is limited now but will continue to grow as we complete the development of this Web Property.  Below are some common terms and descriptions to help you with acronyms used in this site property.

What is a WWO?

WWO stands for “Web Work Order”. A WWO is an order created by a WIPS to initiate the task performance requested by a Web Property Owner. Once the WIPS has received and reviewed a web maintenance request or a WIC, a WWO is created to reflect the date and time the request was received and the estimate time of completion. More information regarding WWOs can be find in our “Web Work Order” section.

What is a WIPP?

WIPP stands for “Web Insurance Plan Policy”. A WIPP is the actual month-to-month web maintenance agreement between you (Web Property Owner) and GriotSites. A WIPP can be canceled at anytime during the month, but the actual WIPA won't officially close until the end of the month. Closing your WIPA account will immediately cease any future web premium collections. Because of the cancellation schedule, it is best to use the remaining services before the end of the month when the account officially closes.

What is WIPS?

WIPS stands for “Web Insurance Plan Specialist”. A WIPS is responsible for all aspects of web insurance provided by GriotSites Web Hosting & Designs™. WIPS are also responsible for managing WIPA for all GriotSites Web Property Owners. Click the link to learn more about WIPS and their roles as well as knowing when to contact one.

What is a WIPA?

WIPA stands for “Web Insurance Plan Account”. A WIPA is what we call the account associated with your registered Web Property. The WIPA houses a "help desk" type dashboard that acts as a miniature navigation center for each WIP Client. Click the link to learn more about WIPA and how to register for one.

What is WIC?

WIC stands for “Web Insurance Claims”. A WIC is a formal request to our WIPS asking for modifications/postings/updates to be made to their registered Web Property. When a Web Property Owner (WPO) submits a WIC, a WIPS will review the request for its validity and then issue a WWO for processing. Learn more about WICs by clicking this link.
